How the calculation works
Concentration (mg/mL) = vial quantity (mg) / final volume (mL). Convert mcg to mg by dividing by 1,000. Volume (mL) = amount (mg) / concentration. U-100 units = volume × 100.
Example: 10 mg in 2 mL gives 5 mg/mL. An amount to measure is also required to calculate a syringe reading.
